Physical Science

Important Class Files: Syllabus APS_Glossary APS_Index

In this course, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of two primary disciplines of physical science—physics and chemistry. Through hands-on activities, students will explore scientific concepts and apply them in group projects. Some key concepts in physics that will be explored during the first semester of the course involve the study of the forces and laws of nature affecting matter: equilibrium, motion, momentum, and the relationships between matter and energy. The study of physics also includes examination of sound, light, magnetic, and electric phenomenon. The second semester will cover chemistry fundamentals.
