In December, the Wildlife Habitat Conservation Friday Project group had the unique opportunity to interact closely with some very special people and their very special birds of prey.
TMP students were able to witness first hand a hunting practice that dates back over 4,000 years–hunting small game with raptors.
Though raptors have been used for hunting for centuries, the interest in them today transcends time and place to a more visceral appreciation.
These animals obviously do not need our help in hunting, but they do need our help in preserving their habitat. The Wildlife Habitat Conservation group seeks to encourage and enhance such projects through hands-on education and experience.
